the fashionistas diary. events in dublin

febrrrrrrry (see, i made it sound cold there) anyway, can be a (cold) and boring time to be hanging around. so, keeping this in mind and if your not after reading my below blog and are currently knee deep in secret diary of a call girl or queer as folk, then you may consider actually leaving your house. This coming events post we have art exhibitions, new pub openings in Limerick and some tasty tasseled events in Dublin for your approval....
and keep your eyes peeled.
If we turn up and you see us, (miss penny dreadful and the cocaine kids) then pop over and say hi, if your polite and don't bottle us then we will take a pic for the website and you can become famous for a while (about 2 days really) better still, if you come say hello, are polite, don't bottle us AND we like your outfit (we are asking a lot here) we will pop up a little note to say where you got stuff in our new section (to be added very soon) about people we meet on our travels.
its an easy one kids. a no brainer (god i hate that saying, i also hate the one 'going forward' and 'deets' as well) so here come the no brainer deets going forward kids :
The nine is a new exhibition happening in Dublin comprised of a few students from Limerick school of art and design. While I haven't been myself yet. (for shame) I intend on popping in for a few minutes (it's very close to SPY so could nab myself a hot cocktail while at it) find it at 11 south william street dub 2, (oh and The NINE are: Anna DONEGAN, Cainneach LENNON, Catherine O'BRIEN, Lucy PETERS, Ailise O'NEILL, Chris BOLAND, Ceri GARFIELD,Alan CROWLEY, Stephen ROCHE) its running till the 14th of feb so act quickly.

the sugar club is somewhere I have never ventured to go. it's nothing personal but I never think of it. until now. Having met someone who filled me in on the wonderful work of the rocky horror pictureshow night in the sugar club I am proud to announce I will be going to the valentines ball with Z on the 13th of feb. it's set to be an amazing night. tickets are 15 euro and what a line up. check out their facebook page for more info on the amazing night
Thursday nights are all go. and as many of us know, Krash is fast taking over from WAR as the more interesting night out mid week. apparently there is all manner of free stuff at this Krash this thursday the 11th. it's set to be a good one. it's also doppelganger themed as well as this week facebook are all up in that shit. it's also valentines themed which is not so great for us singletons - sad face - but, i'm sure that can be changed on wednesday at the george!
if it's wednesday night it can only mean the george space 'n' veda is on! this time it's strictly come pole dancing, which is always worth a gander. I went to the last one and I may even go again. but its always worth a trip to see the wonderful veda and devina devine in action.happy days. So the usual applies to this. around 10ish and i think it's a student night so drinks are cheap and plentiful. that should please you all then!
the newest gay venue in town! The official launch is happening Friday the 12th in Limerick on Thomas street. While I can't make it myself I wish them the best of luck with it all. prehaps some of my faithful bloggers could go and make use of the facilities. If you do go, drop us a line and let us know how you got on!
the lads have promised some of the biggest drag acts performing on the night. and we do love our drag! so the fun kicks off at 9pm anyway for anyone around Limerick on the night that is! and I have to say having been in Limerick all week the bar is looking well and ready to go. I still remember that bar as Players though! it's been everything from an art gallery to a strip club. but this time its looking well. Champers and finger foods all round too apparently!

So there you have it. that should entertain you at least for a while. so get stuck in!
hurrah!
