One thing I loved about McQueen's work (well, one of many) was that no matter what angle you viewed it from, there was always something to draw you in. So many designer focus on the front of the garment as that is what causes the impact as it comes down the catwalk. But McQueen dealt with details. Each piece was like sculpture and so lovingly made.

So when I saw these photos from the new collection by Sarah Burton I was happy. Everywhere you look there is detail, detail, detail. Delighted.

So I am happily posting these pictures, even if I fear this is my second time doing so, for all the world to see! Well, those who read my blog anyway - all five of you. Including my mum. ( Hi Mum!)

I am also looking forward to being able to own some new MCQ as well. Since the label announced this year it is taking over full control of it's younger sister line this year AND cutting prices. Bet Harvey Nicks was thrilled with that one! It will mean more people in the door anyway! Me included, I miss my HN lunchbreaks.

It's been an eventful year for the company. Which saw the tragic death of it's creator and designer earlier this year, followed by a possible lawsuit with Cadburys ( no idea how that worked out actually) and another lawsuit between the company and Hells Angels. No, I swear I didn't make that up. Look it up on the blog. I am telling you, it's there. Not to mention the unveiling of Sarah Burtons collection and various awards for Alexander McQueen accomplishments.

I can't wait to see what 2011 holds in store for them....
