FASHION FIGHT : CHRISTIAN LOUBOUTIN VS CARMEN STEFFEN

Man, is he pissed! Christian Louboutin has issued a second store with a lawsuit after they copied his red soles. I blogged yesterday about how he is not too happy with YSL for the same offense. But it seems like it's going to be a long month of court appearances for him with this second go.
Carmen Steffens is the second brand is to be sued by the (expensive) master of shoe making, the company claim to be using the red sole since 1996 in their designs. The president of the company had this to say to someone who cared in response :

"Carmen Steffens France is confident in its position regarding the brand's long-standing use of colour on the soles of some styles of Carmen Steffens shoes, including the infrequent use of various tones of red,"

This isn't the first time that a CL has sued over red soles, he saw red in 2007 (get it, see what I did there!?!?!) after another company copied the red. The following is a piece from the lawsuit for YSL :

"Mr. Louboutin is the first designer to develop the idea of having red soles on women's shoes," the lawsuit said, "The defendants' use of red footwear outsoles that are virtually identical to the plaintiffs' Red Sole Mark is likely to cause and is causing confusion, mistake and deception among the relevant purchasing public."
