Shatter effect nail varnish - does it work?

I've been reading a lot about shatter - effect nail varnish lately, I must admit that I'm dying to try it. But naturally, I haven't gotten around to it as I'm quite lazy. I wasn't sure which brand I trusted enough to try, as I don't want to spend a fortune to try a new product. Then I found a review of the new Barry M shatter effect black varnish. Which rated against some expensive products, came up tops.
I have to admit, I'm a massive fan of Barry M. Well, I trust and use their stuff everyday. But their packaging and advertising campaigns are HORRIBLE. It could be a really edgy and quirky brand, but they ruin it with the cheap pink plastic stands which are not maintained. I have to say, their product is brilliant though. If your ever looking for a decent and purse friendly way to try the new trends in beauty, then this the way to do it.
Barry M is available from Boots chemists and www.barrym.com. Oh and a quick note, the review was in Glamour magazine for April, the reviewer says she wishes they made more colors other then black - they have just launched blue, white and pink onto the market. It's priced a bit higher then the normal €4.50, but €6.95 is still cheaper then shelling out for MAC. (Sorry MAC, you know I still love you right?)
