I've written before about the design genius of Electronic Sheep, an Irish company who make fantastic pieces and lord knows, anyone following this blog knows I have an obsession with the cape as a style must have ( if only so you can repeat the line from that Snickers advert - 'Would you like to ride with Batman?' While swishing the cape suggestively at passersby) so the two things together combined is a blog post waiting to happen! I recieved an email from Electronic Sheep to tell me about a collaboration with 'Turntable Goddesses', The Broken Hearts whose quirky style make them perfect cape designers!
They designed the cape which is called 'Swift and Cliff' in collaboration with the brand and it will no doubt be a wardrobe essential for the two vintage loving Djs.I love it. Is there nothing the cape can't do?
In other news though, Electronic Sheep are returning to fashion week in 2012, and I intend to have a close look over their lookbook for AW which arrived by email this week! Mamma needs a new wardrobe!!! (and a job!)
- July on this blog is going to focus on Irish design, designers and crafts a bit more then normal. You can still get all the news, gossip, scandal and gin fulled ranting which you have come to expect from Dreadful Towers - but I do believe in promoting Irish fashion so I am going to do my bit by getting involved in covering the work of as many Irish designers as possible!
