Cosy, but at least its mine.....

So I finally finished unpacking all the boxes and moving into my new room. It's been a long time and a lot of work - but I got there! As you can see, it's a small room and fairly chaotic! All my stuff from the last house - all four rooms of it - it crammed into a single room in Dublin!
Bags, books, dvds, cds, magazines, make-up and glittery statues of Mary all made the voyage from Dublin to Cork to Dublin over the past year and finally have come to rest!
My temporary wardrobe. The last one I had literally collasped! (all that high street and designer weighs a ton!) It was there one minute, on a heap on the floor with me holding a door the next.
It's been nice to be near all my old stuff again! My new rock boots - which I bought in Galway six or seven years ago! I keep saying I am going to sell them - they are barely worn! But I can't part with them. I love them too much!
Handbags next to the boots, next to an old lava lamp, a blue lantern and a stack of ELLE magazines with a painting perched on top.
Art and fashion books on the windowsill - lots of books about the Beatles from my days as a obsessive fan (aged 14/15)
The painting my X painted back in 2005 of me in a nightclub, I like it - not too many people put that much effort into a valentines present, really sweet. Thats also a childhood teddy bear near my stack of Vogues. (half of which are now living in the kitchen near my desk)
Erm....not ready to explain that one just yet....
Eyeliners, random toy ducks, nodding dogs, dice, candles and a really really old martini glass from Charlies bar in Limerick which was liberated one night with the help of the staff. Not naming names there! But there is also an old MAC perfume, Benefit eye crayon on top of a box containing my sewing and knitting gear from when I was 12 and had a very boring life.....

So I am getting there. Slowly kitting the house out to look like my dream place. It's small but cosy and full of crap!
