So it's been one person after another claiming that the Hailey Clauson photography T-shirt debacle is nothing to do with them. Today, Jason Lee Perry wandered in with his two cents worth. For those who are not in the know, he is the photographer- actually let me retell the story.
Model Hailey Clauson posed for photos when she was underage (15) which show her drinking beer, sitting on the back of a motorbike with hot pants, etc. The print was made into a T-shirt by Urban Outfitters. HC's parents are now trying to take UO for $28 million. They claim they had no idea the shots were taken and would not have given permission for them to used.
Then Urban Outfitters decided on Saturday to release a statement claiming that they had no idea she was underage AND that there was no permission.
It was then alledged that the photographer who sold the pictures had no right to do so and didn't even take the pictures!
So today, Perry has said that the parents were involved in the shoot, approved the photographs and signed them over. He also pointed out that Clauson was given privacy on the set and her genitalia and breasts are covered. The release states that Ford model management signed over the photographs which were then sold to UO and everyone was happy.
'Ford modeling agency assigned the model for Jason Lee Parry’s shoot. Ford approved the fashion story featured in Qvest magazine to be published. The photo in question was featured in the model’s portfolio on Ford’s site. All correspondence is documented in emails approving the shoot.
Unbeknownst to Jason Lee Parry the image in question was selected by the t-shirt brand. He was also unaware of retail distribution of the t-shirt.
After the photos were released the model proudly posted the images in question to her personal site.'
Until now...god knows how this is going to end...
