Victoria Beckham is on a roll! I quite like the fact that each collection she designs she gets a little bit more experienced and you can see her really pushing her collections and trying new things. Last season was a triumph, the swing dresses and 60s influences, before you even talk about the color! Vibrant yellows and intense reds. It truly was a fantastic collection. It was suggested in every review that she had included looser designs due to her pregnancy - well true to form, she's back designing body cons again! With the above maxi thrown it for good measure!
SKIRT OVER FECKING TROUSERS - THIRD COLLECTION SO FAR!!! This is not a fluke people, if this goes transatlantic into London -then officially we have a trend. Furrrrrk. Remember it the first time around, not good! Pleated skirts are back again for another turn on the catwalk, thank god because it means that the pencil skirt has been retired after one season!!! Save your money and just buy the pleated shape. Plus it looks amazing and suits all shapes and you can walk in it. I could never be ladylike enough to do a pencil skirt!!!!
There was a really sporty feel to the collection. While the structure and shape of the dresses remains the same. There were sporty buckles and straps added. The above dress reminds me of her spice girl days although the dresses were black! Not to mention this is the first time she has included flats. I have noticed that so far, all the models have been sporting ankle straps - regardless of heel height or absence....looks like its strap-burn for summer girls!
Again more silky fabrics. I love the cocoon shape of the jacket. Although it can be a hard shape to work with other lengths and clothes.
I really hate sportswear. I covered this before with the whole Alexander Wang collection. But there are enough body cons in the collection to keep her celebrity clients happy. However I hate those caps. I have no idea why. I just do.
It looks like various shades of purple and indigo are the shades for the summer season. That aside can I just ask - note the red soles on the boots behind the model!!!! ahem! Love that visible zip as well. I don't know what it is about me and a visible zip - I just love it.
