I love when the Topshop lookbook hits the blogsphere, its a clear guide the affordable trends which are going to be all over the streets in the next few months - and I didn't think it was possible for them to outdo their previous collection of 2010, but they've managed to. Last year I picked a few items which fitted my aesthetic, but this year I am considering changing my entire look to accomodate the Pyschobilly range - which is boyish tailoring from the 1950's adapted to create a fantastic new shape, it's 50's teenagers with attitude. I LOVE IT! So feast your eyes kids....and get your credit cards at the ready....

The glamrock era appears again with the fedora hat, metallic fabrics, blazers with skinny trousers and platforms - break out your inner Debbie Harry and don't forget lashings of dark eyeshadow...

The side slit was seen all over the catwalks this season as well, it works best in maxi lengths, but don't be afraid to attempt Marc Jacobs pencil skirt slit too - its very 90's and given that we have Irish weather to contend with, I think it could mean adding some funky tights - luckly Topshop do those too.

The pleated skirt returns for next season, so buy in the sales now - yes they will be summer fabrics but you can always layer with tights.

This look presents an issue for me, I love the prim and proper look - complete with tailored box bags and polite hems - however my own look is a little bit....punk for me to get away with that. I'd love to be that girl, but alas, I am not....

How Chanel influenced are those shorts?

Mustard, sunburst yellows and deep reds are A/W fallbacks but Victoria Beckham used them to excess in her A/W collection so they are going to be a massive trend and the only colors to be seen in next season. Note the clutch - SO Marc Jacobs!

They have also used Russia as an influence this season as well by adding a Russian feel with print, layering and plenty of fur (faux natch!) in the collection - Loving the idea of a scarf under a hat. Not sure it translates to the actual streets of Dublin, but I'll give anything a go!

I love the hat - it takes the furry bear hat to new heights, given my partner HATES them - it could be the perfect way to piss off those who have to be seen with you for that post-work pint!

Again, leopard print is back! Every year it comes back - in shoe, tights, t-shirt or dress format. I much prefer this to the awful snakeskin print which is apparently meant to be HUGE this season - luckily JLO killed the trend stone dead, so hopefully it wont go too far!

A lot of the looks have a distinct 70's feel to them, which means that the 70s are back for a third season! I don't really care too much for it given that my chosen vintage is the 60's, 80's and 90's. But I could totally try to rock the look, I would totally be okay with it!

I love the trousers.

Now, I love the 50's look, I'm useless at the pin up style in terms of perfect make-up and hair but I can really get on board with the menswear from that decade. I love that this trend is quite boyish but then by teaming the more boyish elements like the shoes and the blazers with a sneaky skirt or a quirky heel - it changes the feel of the collection and takes what can sometimes be an overdone trend into new territory and makes it something new.

Ive been trying to perfect the sleeveless blazer for sometime now by cutting the sleeves off blazers - which always ends in tears given that I am not too good at sewing and i always forget about the lining. So I gave up.

So altogether a perfect series of collections due to hit stores in the next month. I have already bookmarked what I want in the hope that I get some form of sugar daddy over the next week or two! Which wont happen meaning that I am destined to be stuck in my maxi skirts and usual rock T-shirts. Oh well...
