RESORT 2013 : Chanel

 Okay, so not everything Lagerfeld designs is genius! I scrolled through the collection and the overall effect left a bad taste in my mouth and all I could think is - WTF!??!?! Imagine Marie Antoinette on crack in a ghetto in 2012 and you have some idea of where this collection is........

 While there are some trends which can be picked from the rubble - like ruffles, powder blue and culotte trousers - there are some better left to die such as the ruffle sleeves, the pathetic white socks with the awful shoes and the god awful brothel creepers with a massive platform. Why Karl Why!?!??!?!?!?

 Some of the pieces were striking in his use of color such as the bright golds against the white and the blue against the white - which put me in mind of old school china plates. There were some positives after all that! Some of the pieces though, were simply god awful like the dress below. I just found the fabric too heavy and too stiff and why is there white netting attached!!??! If I found a dress like that in a charity shop I would discard it as too 80s to work and would have left it there.....ew....
