What men look good in......

 As I sat discussing mens fashion with a friend over large amounts of wine, (I hold her completely responsible for my AWFUL wine headache the next morning) attention was turned to the items of clothing that men look completely AMAZING in. It got me thinking about what clothes I find attractive on men, being that I am fashionably minded and a lack of style drives me crazy.
It's not that I want my men folk to care about what Prada is showing for next season - but I think that fashion and style are incredibly important. A lot of our communication is non verbal and we pick up a lot of signals from things like body language - and fashion. Fashion communicates a lot of different subjects like personality, interests and music preferences! I like to see that a man, rather then being head to toe in trend, has a sense of personal style.
I don't like hipsters where the focus is totally on style and rather then it being attractive - it just looks unnatural and too try hard. There is nothing hotter then a man who can shop and knows what he likes.....so two fashionably minded women were talking and this is what I came up with as to what I (and we) like to see on men..........

 Leather Jackets.
I don't know why leather jackets look amazing on men - they look great on women too - but men really have the edge on this. It has to be a good leather jacket, not too long and not too short. It has to have buckles, zips and be a little bit bad ass......

*Side note - the two pictures of Ed Westwick from Gossip Girl is totally accidental. I am not trying to say he has whopper style or anything! He just happened to be wearing my next item in the photo next to the leather jacket one!!!

Stripes
This seems to be a universal thing. On a recent night out with the girls, I noticed that the DJ had stripes on and that was the hottest thing ever - I turned to talk it over and the girls were already drooling. Seriously, that actually happened. It helped that the DJ was a fox too!!! Stripes on men came up in another conversation and apparently - it's a thing! We find men in stripes attractive for some reason. I think it just looks that good. It's stylish, playful but there are rules. It has to be either black and white or navy and white and it has to be loose. The T-shirt cannot be tight. Nothing worse then distorted beer gut stripes....

Skinny Jeans
Now this is the same for women - it has to suit their body shape. There is nothing worse then seeing someone jammed into a pair of skinny jeans when it just doesn't suit them. Jeans only look good if they FIT YOU. I am not a fan of bum skimming jeans either where you see at least half of their underwear. Not a good look! I always think Russell Brand has wonderful jeans that really suit him. I would almost go as far as to say a good pair of well fitting jeans instead of skinny ones because hipsters have almost ruined skinnies on men for me....

Chelsea Boots
A nice pair of boots on men is wonderful. I love chelsea boots in general and think they look really smart. However I never buy them for myself for some reason!!!! Still they look good on men.....

WHAT NOT TO WEAR
This could be a long list including horrible trousers, ironic T-shirts and fat ties....but I will simplify it a bit and just leave you with Ed Westwick again - in a low cut T-shirt. If he was a women, then at least half of his bra would be on show...not a good look...

At least he is wearing stripes!
